Ben Zobel was born and raised in Seattle Washington.  He grew up around jazz listening to such players as Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Duke Ellington.  He started playing the clarinet at age 11 but then switched to the baritone sax around 14 and ever since then has never looked back.

Ben is currently attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston MA and still plays the baritone sax as well as doubling on tenor, alto, and soprano sax, clarinet, bas clarinet and flute.  He has been apart of many groups and bands including the Berklee Music Education Big Band, several people's quartets/quintets, and jams every now and then at Wally's Jazz Club.  He hopes to one day graduate from Berklee and go to New York City where he can pursue his dream of being a professional musican.
